Also because it has a rare and unique flavor, Dover Sole is expensive. Not only is it because fish lovers can't get the flavor anywhere else, but it also attracts non-seafood eaters. It is also moved around the world in first-class style from Holland. It can only be flown and never trucked to insure freshness from catch to plate.
Dover Sole Meuniere is the classic recipe that you want to try and emulate - when you smell that brown butter wafting through your home, your family will come running for sure....
The fish will come whole - "as is", you will need to skin the fish to cook them like in the picture. If you would like us to skin the fish for you please drop us a note in the memo area - we would be happy to do that for you. We do not recommend cooking this fish from fillet form - it is best cooked on the bone for maximum enjoyment.
