A simple and delicious way to use our lump crabmeat. This is a great option to serve/bring as an appetizer at a party - include chips, celery, and carrots for dipping!
Ingredients:
6 oz of fresh lump crabmeat
11 oz cream cheese, softened
5 tablespoons of mayonnaise
1 onion, small, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 loaf of round, italian crusty bread
Preparations:
1. preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Combine Crabmeat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper together in a medium bowl, then spread mixture into a 1 quart baking dish
3. Add baking dish to preheated oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile cut a circle in the top of the bread loaf, and scoop out the inside to create a bread bowl. You can use the extra bread for dipping!
4. Stir the baked crab dip and spoon it into the bread bowl. Place the bread bowl and chunks of break on medium baking sheet. Bake this for an additional 10 minutes
5. Serve hot and enjoy!
