Hi, Fish Fans,

I hope everyone enjoyed the back-to-school Labor Day feast with friends and family. It was a busy time on the docks for us making sure that everyone received their products safe and sound. Mother nature was good to us this time around. No major storms made for smooth sailing.

As we move into the spring like I have said in the past few weeks this is prime time fish weather. The product will be coming in pristine condition and should be abundant. We hope to see prices inch down as conditions are perfect for the captains.

The products that we see that have stabilized a bit and are running very nice at the moment are Jumbo and Large Dry Sea Scallops from New Bedford, Massachusetts. These arrive daily from a local fishing fleet and seriously do not get any fresher! We also get our fresh Monk Fish, Fluke and Haddock from the same fleet.

The wild Salmon season is ending, but Coho Salmon is still coming in good supply. The fish is genuinely nice and the product tastes great. We will continue with our frozen at sea Sockeye Salmon program and we will continue with our Lion’s Gate sustainable King Salmon program out of Washington state when the wild season completely ends.

The big hit of the summer has been our Lobster deal. Three 1 ¼ lb Maine Lobsters for $39.20 after discount – please visit the homepage banner to learn all about it. These come cooked and ready to go – Fresh! The perfect mid-week dinner or start to your clam bake!

As always – Happy Cooking
