Fresh Lobster Packing


Live lobsters are packed in seawater-soaked newspaper or rock seaweed (when available) in our reusable Styrofoam cooler with ice-cold gel packs before being shipped.

All Fresh Seafood has been aligned with a lobster fishing family for nearly 20 years based out of Casco, Maine – they are a 3 generation lobstering family that has saltwater in their veins.



Fishing for lobsters is a very time-consuming and painstaking labor of love. Our fishing partners have been doing this for years and are extremely good at their craft. The lobster fishing is a sustainable fishery.

We are lucky enough to be an exclusive shipping partner for them getting the freshest catch off their boats on a daily basis. We place orders, they fish, pack and ship, within 24 hours from sea to table all across the country, therefore we are able to deliver a truly unique and delicious experience!


On a daily basis, our lobsters are hand-selected and hand graded to make sure that we are getting nothing but the best of the bunch – we have very strict quality standards.

They get loaded up around 4 pm in Casco, Maine for their 7-hour journey down to New York City just in time for us to pack all the orders to ship all over the country.

What days of the week do you deliver?

We offer delivery Wednesday
through Saturday. Orders may be placed any day of the week and well in advance of your requested delivery date.

How much does shipping cost?

Since most of the lobster packages are over $125, the good news is that most boxes will ship FREE!See above for more detail.

When will I receive the lobster?

Your delivery date can be specified in the delivery date section on the payment screen. You can schedule delivery as far ahead as you'd like.

DoI need to cook the lobster immediately or can I cook it tomorrow?

We guarantee that your lobster will be alive upon delivery, however, we do recommend cooking it the same day you receive it. If you want to serve your lobsters, the next day or days later we recommend that you cook your lobsters upon arrival for the best outcome and refrigerate
until ready to use.When your guests
arrive, you can quickly grill or steam for 5 minutes to warm your lobsters for an excellent experience. Do not add fresh water to the lobster storage. Freshwater will kill the live lobsters.

How do I track my shipment?

On the date of shipment, a tracking number will be generated and sent via email. This tracking number can be used to review the status of your shipment in transit; however, this tracking number will not be valid for tracking until the shipment is picked up from our facility. If you have received this email and are not yet able to track the package this is most likely because the shipment has not yet been picked up from our facility. After receiving this notification email with the tracking number, wait until approximately 6 p.m. that evening when the package becomes active in UPS’s system. If you still need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to use our chat feature.

Can I freeze the meat?

Yes. You can freeze fully cooked lobster meat very successfully, however, we would not recommend freezing live or raw lobster.

Can you include a gift message?

Yes, simply write your gift message in the delivery description on the payment screen and we will add it to the shipment.

How do I specify delivery date?

Your delivery date can be specified in the delivery date section on the cart page.

What happens if my lobster(s) arrive dead?

At All Fresh Seafood we pride ourselves on delivering a truly unique live lobster experience at home.  We believe in the experience so much that we guarantee your lobsters arrive fresh and alive on the date of delivery. If for any reason your lobsters do not arrive alive, we will reimburse you for the spoiled product costs. This will typically be provided in the form of a refund for the spoiled product. Just because a lobster arrives sleepy does not mean that it is spoiled. Our boxes are very cold, sometimes the lobsters need a few minutes to wake back up so please don’t panic and allow them to come back to life on your counter.

A reshipment is not guaranteed unless all items in the shipment were affected. We require a photograph of the affected products and customers must attempt to reach us via phone or email on the date of delivery. Please make sure the picture properly shows the spoiled products or lifeless lobsters on its back and this can be sent to nfo@allfreshseafood.com along with your order number and the best way to reach you.

To help us review your refund, please follow these instructions for submitting photos:

1. If your lobster arrives dead, provide a photo of the dead lobster on its back.

2. For underweight products, a photo must be submitted with the product on a food scale.

3. For spoiled products, a photo must be submitted showing product temperature over 40℉.

What happens if my package arrives after my dinner party?

Unfortunately, once the product leaves our facility, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature 1st and UPS second. We cannot and will not take responsibility of these issues. If you have a dinner party that is make or break, we highly suggest that you order one day in advance and follow our instructions under “Do I need to cook Lobsters Immediately” – we outline how to handle the lobsters perfectly!

What happens if my party is canceled, or I need to change the date of delivery?

There is no risk to our customers by placing an order today for a future date. If you need to change the delivery date or cancel your order these changes can be made prior to the ship date without a hassle. We even accept coupons that you may receive via email after your order is placed in case you see a deal you would like to take advantage of.

DoI need to be home to receive my packages?

No, all packages are sent with no signature required and will be left at your doorstep. We do require that you take your package in within 3 hours of receiving it on your doorstep when the temp is 60 degrees and below.If the temp is 60 degrees and above, we require you to take your package in within 1 hour of receiving it – we are in this together and live product needs TLC – thanks for your understanding.

Can I change the number of items after my order is scheduled?

Yes, you can make any update to your order, big or small, prior to the ship date.

Can I cancel or modify my shipment?

All orders can be canceled or modified prior to the shipment date. Once a tracking number has been generated a cancellation penalty may apply and any modifications are subject to surcharges based on the type of modification being made.
